02The response window
The early alert
The value of the measurement is not in knowing the number, but in tying it to a threshold. Once each area has a density defined as safe and another that calls for action, crossing that threshold becomes an event raised to the team in real time — before the area reaches its critical limit. That time gap between “we crossed the first threshold” and “the area is full” is all the operations team has to redirect people, open an additional route, or slow entry.
